I have never seen Symphony X but always imagine what my dream show would be of theirs.

Opening acts After Forever and Epica

My set list would be
1. Entire V album from front to back (with a live orchestra, choir and a huge screen behind the band playing computer animations inspired by the album artwork, kind of like a movie.)
2. Through the Looking Glass
3. Of Sins and Shadows
4. Out of the Ashes
5. Sea of Lies
6. Smoke and Mirrors

Encore:
1. Church of the Machine
2. Divine Wings of Tragedy (the 20 minute song)

If this happened, it would be the greatest thing I would have ever seen.

ps. sorry if this thread had already been made. This is my first post on a forum!

Encore: Shades of Gray, with massive audience sing-a-long of course...

Oculus ex Inferni
Set The World On Fire (The Lie of Lies)
The Relic
The Haunting
Paradise Lost
Smoke & Mirrors
Sea of Lies

--------------

I would love to see this show but why does everyone have to be over 20? I'm 16 and I'm not gonna go and mosh and act stupid I would just sit down with my mouth shut and watch the performance.

And you guys really don't like Epica or After Forever? I enjoy they're music a lot they have great melodies in my opinion and well written songs. Just because their singers are girls makes them bad?

The age limit is there cuz of the high amount of free strong alcohol being served the guests by naked nymphs. People under 20 can't handle alcohol without acting like assholes, and they irritate me. It's my dream Symphony X show. Also, smokers and people that smell strongly of perfume/cologne are banned. And mobile phones with cameras - make that any mobile phone or electronic device that has an illuminated display - are strictly prohibited. Anyone found sitting with a camera or something filming useless quality shit for their shitty CRaaazYm3TALman6666 youtube-channels are pulled back-stage and have their hands and dicks cut off. Then their blood is sprayed all over the audience as the show culminates and then Slayer takes the stage and plays Raining Blood.

After Forever is just plain bad music if you ask me. The band is bland and the singer is horrible (she also ruined a lot of Ayreon stuff). Epica has a couple of songs I actually don't mind listening to but there are so much better bands in the genre that don't rely on selling their music with a hot redhead singer. She should make pornos on the side and then the band could replace her with a better vocalist - everyone would be happier. Also the growling in Epica is some of the worst there is. Any potentially good song is ruined by some dude going "hurrp durrrp muuuuuurh" during a verse or something.

I want to make this an addendum to my above post.

Also, moshing to the following songs will result in immediate ejection: Communion and the Oracle, Egypt, Through the Looking Glass, Accolade I/II, Paradise Lost, Awakenings, The Odyssey, or either of the two "intro" numbers.

Sure is progsnob in here. :|

If there was to be an encore, I'd like it to be Revelation.
The ending with the angelic chorus would be a great way to close out the whole show.

Not in my dream show you wouldn't. My dream remember? Not anyone else's. No political correctness or sympathy for others in my dreams. No sir-ee, Bob!

I can invade your dreams at will!

Although in think its intersting how most people seem to have The Odyessy in there dream show, yet i always assumed as far as songs go out of DWoT and The Odyessy people prefered DWoT
