Really digging it, but can't help but feel that the graphic at the top of the page is too big/requires too much scrolling to get to anything really useful.

Yeah the big graphic bit at the top is definitely not 3rd world Australian internet connection friendly
I don't care about the scrolling, it's just that when I first loaded up the page, it certainly took longer than it should have IMO

Thanks for taking a look guys, I really appreciate it.

I agree that the top image is perhaps a bit too large, but it couldn't be condensed and still have the desired effect we wanted. The images I believe are hosted on imageshack at the moment too which probably isn't the quickest host around. I will see about transferring it to my own webspace sometime in the future.

Looks good Ermz, takes ages to load here though. Even the audio samples take a long time once everything else has finished.

The MySpace design looks pretty damn killer! I agree the top image could be smaller, but I understand perfectly well why it wouldn't look as good if you tried to trim it.

I ran the topbanner and the background thru paint shop pro and optimized the size of the jpg and the size dropped like 80% without significant loss in the quality. Compare:
