T-Racks 3 sale this month ($200/$100 crossgrade)

i went for the crossgrade, kinda rude not to for the price and i dont know of any other RTAS clipper available but the one in T-Racks,
Went for the Black '76 and hoping some more people jump on board so i can have the white 3A too, although i have the UAD 3A im just being greedy

+1. looks like a good chance it might happen. :)

Can anyone shed some insight on the actual mastering process using T-Racks?
Can other VSTs be used within T-Racks when you are mastering or is it only the t-racks stuff?

If you use the T-Racks Shell for mastering then only the T-Racks plugins can be used, however if you just build your chain within your DAW then you can use whatever you have - the shell essentially becomes the metering plugin so you have the metering portion of the shell available.

There are several products that you can look at for more information on mastering with T-Racks.

Groove3 has a video:

IKMultimedia has a book by Bobby Owsinski:

There is a recorded seminar that he did for IKMultimedia on YouTube:

I reallized when I read back what I had typed earlier that I made it seem as if the shell can only be used in stand-alone mode, thats not correct - the shell will indeed open as a VST plugin and you can use the features such as parallel processing chains within the shell as a VST so you could use the shell and plugins within an external chain ie. any vst, another vst, T-Racks 3 (loaded with a chain of the T-Racks processors), another vst,... Using the shell as a VST and what IK calls effect matrixing. If you have an SOS subscription, they have a review that explains all the T-Racks features better than I am. http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/apr09/articles/tracks3.htm

EDIT: Everything works like a charm.

btw, there are cheap paid for IK stuff in the apple app store that counts as an crossgrade ;)

very very, cool.

I've been trying to get away with using almost exclusively free plugins for the past 5 years or whatever and i've gotten ok results. Gave into this deal and I'm glad I did. I always had a hard time believing the hype over plugins, but i slapped a few of these on a mix that i've been working with the past few days, brought up some presets, and bam, it fucking rules. It's a night and day difference. Super pleased.
