TAB Thread.

I'm in USA and got mine in the mail on 6-8-2013.......weird how if you pre-order you get them before the official release date for your country.

I must say it is a VERY good album.....enjoying it very much.

Oh, yep weird indeed. It has only been shipped the 6-8-2013 at the morning... anyway, I'm on finals at school so I was fully busy.
(And last time, I got RRF earlier than its release date so... it compensates :))

Lame!!!

Did you get the version with the DVD? Pretty cool DVD showing how they set up for recording and all their guitars.

Alexi actually plays good when in studio, but for some reason sounds like crap when doing instructional DVD's.

Mine hasn't arrived yet (for some reason, my pre-orders for everything always come a week or so late), but I saw the Making Of on Youtube. I was actually really surprised (and impressed) to see Alexi nail a fuckton of random speedy licks in studio. Especially that little bit when he was doodling in the background while Henkka was talking. That was good stuff...

Now why can't he do that with his instructional DVD's?

I guess he just has to be in a comfortable setting and not under pressure knowing he's being filmed for a DVD.

I actually have a theory. I think he's just really lazy now and doesn't give a fuck if it's not studio time. I'm pretty sure he practices like mad to nail crazy shit in studio when it's time to track. If it's not studio time, he doesn't give a fuck! As we all saw in the instructionals, lol.

For live performances, I don't think he cares as much as when he was younger about playing flawlessly, so he just warms up enough not to (hopefully) butcher all the leads, and play them relatively well.

That's what I think now, after seeing that video...

I've updated the OBAAKD tab and WOS. In WOS there are some more keys which I can't really hear though.
@ Abraxation: Why did you use a standard C tuning for bass? The keys in bar 43-50 should be played one octave higher and follow the 8 notes from the rythm guitars. The drums sound really good!
One bottle and a knee deep
Waste of skin

I also changend some finger position for All Twisted. Mainly for the lead parts and the bridge
All Twisted

Didn't notice the bass thinggie till now, since i tabbed all by ears not using guitars or bass. Your hearing abilities amazes me, nice keys!

I was messing around with fingerings for the OBAAKD solo and these are two ways I found more comfortable.

Bar 96:

------------------------------------------------17--------17-19-
--------------------------------------17-19-20----19-20-------
----------------------------17-18-20---------------------------
---------------------17-19------------------------------------
-----------17-19-21-------------------------------------------
-17-19-21----------------------------------------------------

and Bar 102:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
15-12-14-15-14-12-----------------------------------------------------
--------------------14-12-13-14-13-12-13-14-13-12-----------19-------
-----------------------------------------------------16-15-14---15-14-
---------------------------------------------------------------------17-14-
------------------------------------------------------------------------

And All Twisted:

Bar 114:

---------------------15-17--------------------------------------------
-----------15-17-19---------------------------------------------------
-14-16-17-------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Bar 116:

--------15------------------------------------------------------------
-----15----19-17-15--------------------------------------------------
--16-----------------16-----------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Also i think bar 122 is triplets not dotted 16th notes

ive been learning all twisted for 3 days now and yes your way is loads easier, why i didnt see this way earlier beats me :p

Bar 96: I don't think that Alexi would start at 17th fret... but the last notes would make more sense. At least it's easier to play.
Bar 102: There are wrong notes in your tab.
Bar 114: Yes, that's easier.
Bar 116: I think that's not correct. Alexi always did string jumps for those parts (except in LB).
Bar 122: I wasn't sure if I should use triplets or dotted notes. I think I used dotted notes because of the different tempo. For triplets I have to change 6 notes but only four notes are played slower. I tabbed the solo before the second rythm guitar and drums so I had no really rythm behind it.Have to check it again.

Inceptionist the notes for OBAAKD have since been updated from what I believe you're referring to. Redownload the tab and let me know.

It's there. Just too quiet, lol. Ah, fuck that track. I will redo a better one. I just put the midi track into superior drummer without any post-eq or mixing and this is what happend. Give me some more time, then I can make some really good ones. I think I will sent my stuff to Snowy because he's an audio engineer so he can do all the mixing stuff.

Yeah i wasn't sure for that reason too, the only time he's started on the 17th fret is CoD. And all the 12's on the G string shouldve been 11's which makes it a bit uncomfortable so I really don;t know what to do there  And yeah you're right about the string skipping I hadn't thought of that
