Tabbing out SyX

I wanted to make a separate topic for this subject. If you have any requests for SyX-tabs please post them here... I can tab out SyX riffs & melodies if you have some special parts you want to see tabbed. I'm not very much into tabbing out whole songs. And please, if you have your own transcriptions post them here so we can share them and learn to play the bands music.

Maybe this will lead to some sort of "Symphony X Transcription Project." Who knows...?

ive been trying to figure out how to play all of masqurade(or at least the verses) and the last section of the odyssey (champion of ithica), can you do those?

anyone got any Adagio or Ayreon Tabs? specifically Promises from adagio and Into the black hole and Eyes of time from Ayreon. the ayreon ones might be on the net, I just havent had the time to look yet..

Flechdrop: You're right but The Odyssey has mistakes and it looks very messy because the tabber has imported it from a MIDI. He probably sequenced it first with a sequencer. I can't say anything about Masquarade because I haven't dloaded it yet.

I thought the odyssey was pretty ok considering it's not the easiest to tab out fully.
The masquerade tab isn't really great, it's only guitar too.

Actually i just submitted my incomplete Incantations power tab at powertabs.net
It doesn't have the intro or the solo, but the main body of the song is there. If anybody wants me to email it to them or something, let me know.

anyone wants some drum tabs i'll hook u up with 'em, i cant guarantee anything, but they'll most likely be better than mosta the stuff u'll find on tabs sites. (im talkin like SX/DT/adagio/childrenofbodom/kalmah etc. kinda stuff)

@1by4by9 vbmenu_register("postmenu_2492727", true); - I thought Flight of the Migrator was recorded in straight Eb... I'm pretty sure Space Metal is... Ok, maybe drop C#, but I really doubt Ajren tunes a whole step down.

Listen to Set Your Controls main riff - it's clearly in Eb5 and F5 based.

I WOULD play in E standard, if I had an all-mahodany guitar.

I, presonally only tune to Eb for tone reasons (my guitar is a hardtail alder/maple/rosewood superstrat).

Flight Of Migrator is mainly in D except ITBH and the song by Deris which are in dropped C. I asked Arjen himself.

btw, I'm sorry to disappoint you goth_fiend but my friend had borrowed my Odyssey and I'll see him next in the weekend. So you'll have to wait for a week... sorry. Any request from other albums instead?

And for the ITBH-tab, it's quite old tab of mine and now when I look it I could have done the fingerings of the chords a lot better, it's very ankward to play on those posistions. But you'll get the idea at least...

yeah, the arpeggio part is a bit weird as far as fingering is concerned, but since there mostly quarter notes by the looks of it, you got plenty of time to change..the 5,2,0,4,3,4 is a bit odd, but ive seen a lot worse..
