TC Finalizer

SPDIF here too. I'll output each track to it in the mixing session for a while so I can hear how it affects my mix and make adjustments accordingly. But, when I make the bounce I won't include it yet, because during mastering I use a few other plug-ins on the master buss and I never have enough computer power to run all the track plug-ins AND mastering plug-ins...so after bouncing, I'll load all the stereo files into a new session and then use the Finalizer, along with a few more plugs.

Do you also have to create a new track and record the Finalizers output to this track and then bounce?

no, that makes sense i think. So, if you insert any plugins for mastering on the master bus, it's post Finalizer? I guess you could insert pre finalizer on the newly created audio track, right?

Thats right. I will still use mastering plugs on the main 2 buss just for monitoring purposes until i get done recording the finalizer track, then i will apply the mastering plugs to the finalized wave. god damn this sounds to complicated lol

In thinking it through, it seems like I would prefer to insert plugs prior to hitting the Finalizer (EQ, etc.) and then use the Finalizer for multi band comp./limiting

Have you tried inserting your plugs pre/post Finalizer and had a preference for post, or just always done it that way?

BTW, have you posted mixes on here before? Can't seem to see any. I'd like to hear your work since your a Hoosier like me!

*EDIT*

I see some Soundclick links, but anything on the FTP? Soundclick is blocked at work.

Yeah i have just always done it post, need to try some different shit though. Yeah all i have posted was that one sound click mix and it sounds like dogshit smells lol i have improved on it much, i will say i like the multi band comp on the finalizer, just messing with it on the sound click mix made all the differance. And yeah man we need to hook up some shows together.

I just had a thought i know you can now use a piece of digital hardware and make it an f/x insert on nuendo 3, wonder if there would be less head ache using that approuch

Was going to post this until you read it... seems like that would make things go waaaay easier.

Although... when exporting, wouldn't you have to export in real time? Or would that even work? Someone try it out!

yeah either way you would still have to real time render. If i get time to mess with it tonight i will see what all the hardware as an insert intels.
