TECH DEATH MIX FOR YOU TO TRY

My friends,
I suck at mixing. However, I know that you do not. My time spent on this forum has taught me that a lot of you have very good ears and a lot of know-how. So I have faith in you. Please show me what you can do with this song (in terms of mixing). This is as raw a format as I can give you; the guitars, bass and vocals are dry so you can add your own guitar tones. I'm looking forward to hearing what you guys can come up with.

I used XLN Audio Addictive Drums. I'm not sure about how mapping works exactly when you export it. But here you go.

wow cool, that's not bad. what are you using for the guitars? they sound a bit sharp? a little too bright maybe? thanks man, i wrote this song a few years back

this is my latest mix, tightened up the low end, multi tracked the guitars, added some eq to them also. vocals i have no idea what im doing but i think this sounds better.

thanks. i'd LOVE to hear what you can do. the vocals were done by a friend of mine a few years ago who i no longer stay in touch with... he cheated in parts by cupping his hand over the mic. i'm pretty sure this was all done with a SM58... the way ive been mixing them is (if you notice the waves are dramatically different for the bits where he's cupped them) ive separated these bits and compressed them differently.

you can definitely tell when he's cupped the mic (i always had to beat my vocalist when he done it), which is a shame as some of the parts are definitely usable.

That's a great idea if someone with a good aggressive scream could redo these vocals I would be very happy.

this is one i just did, using revalver instead of PODFarm. only rough, i havnt removed the hiss
