Television Thread

hmm ok sounds like i need to revisit Firefly. i watched the first few episodes as they were coming out cause im a big fan of TNG and westernish stuff and when the main character shoots lots of people. i liked the show, i just kinda forgot about trying to follow it.

:p

A list of shows off the top of my head from various genres (some old, some new) that I'd recommend:

Wilfred.
BBC Sherlock.
Space Above and Beyond.
Generation Kill.
Father Ted.
I, Claudius.
Spaced.
Spiral (Engrenages). It's a French cop drama, but it's as good as T.V gets. Fucking brilliant.

You know, I watched Space Above and Beyond as a kid when it aired and loved it. But I tried going back to it a couple years ago and had a hard time getting over the sheer cheese-factor and terrible acting of the first couple episodes.

Yeah, I agree with you. It's still great, though, and it's interesting to see where the BSG brand of gritty Sci-Fi came from.
