tell me your thoughts on

i mean one of my friends is always stealing food because otherwise he just doesnt ever eat.. and spends all his $$ on paint and rent.
so i forgive that since i dont want him to starve.
i dont see anything wrong with stealing, but doing it when you don't need to is probably bad karma and also probably not worth it.

i recall some kids i knew in high school having a sort of ring going that eventually got into taking stuff like portable cd players, video games & guitar pedals from pawn shops and sears stores and would then resell them to friends, but that was in like 1992. i remember thinking they were idiots for doing it and would totally get busted (which they did), although i was almost tempted when they said they'd steal a chorus pedal for me for like $15.

A friend of mine once stole a candy bar from a kiosk (greek kiosks, it's really easy) and when he told me I went and put it back discreetly. So I guess lawful good?

Did it before, but felt guilty and returned the stuff. Really dumb as I could have been caught and had it put on my record. It wasn't anything I needed or wanted either. :/

Won't ever do it again, as economically speaking it's bad for everyone. You can get caught and if not, the store has to foot the bill... which is passed on to the customers.

I'm also more mentally stable and less prone to doing stupid things now.

i'm such a villian in this thread. i have to admit i'm sure like 50% of my christmas presents i got from other people were lifted.

shoplifting: i'm too nervous to do it

also, along the lines of 'unnecessary', how do you all feel about this:

$6 box of red sharpies, only one is needed for a percieved task. no single red markers for sale. no security devices anywhere.
