Someone tell me more about these guys. Somebody (erik or moose I think) uploaded the song werewolf the other day, and it sounded really good. Do they use a lot of those clean vocals? if not they should because they were pretty awesome sounding on that song. So where should I start.

One of the top 3 folk metal albums of all time (Horizons...), seriously.

How about I hit you up on AIM sometime and send the album?

En Vind -- if you ever want to buy my "Folkstorm of the Azure Nights" just let me know ok? It's mint (it's only ever been spun once so I could rip it to MP3).

As with most anything, the vocals can make or break, and in this case, they break. I can totally appreciate how others might dig this band, however.

Cool, I'll let you know after I listen to a few more songs from Max. Sounds like this could be right up my alley.

Why, so you can sell it? :tickled:

Asphyx etc? Sure thing man.

lol, I wouldn't sell it, err, at least I don't think I would. I've heard enough to know I'm pretty sure I'd like it.

ha ha, yeah, I don't even remember what you have, 'cept that there's a BIG GAPING HOLE where Dark Medieval Times used to be :D

Let me put it this way...

"Horizons..." kicks albums like "Till Fjalls" and "Odemarkens Son" right in the dick- and that says a lot coming from me. The song "Gorizont Vesni" (which I think means something like "The Horizon of Spring") is a fucking 10+ minute epic with some of the coolest riffs ever and some of the best drumming I've heard in my life. Same goes for "Fatherland"...

Yeah Ellis, you'll fucking dig this.

It's extremely unique, now that I think about it... even compared against "Folkstorm of the Azure Nights!" The black metal in this pagan/folk/black metal isn't the sort of BM influence that you hear in bands like Noltem or Vintersorg or whatever. It's definitely got that RAC/Ukrainian NSBM feeling. I don't usually like that, but it's simply fantastic here.

Goddamit I really need to hear this apparently. I saw your IM pop up just as I put my away message up Max, sorry about that, I had to go back to work unfortunately. I think I've listened to this werewolf song about 25 times now.

Hmm. I've heard "Sorcery is Strengthening the Black Glory of Rus' " (but I think it was a russian version with russian lyrics and title?) and Horizons. Didn't think much of them at the time. so yeah, yousendit plz

I'll also agree to that.

The Fragments... mLP (included on the Sorcery of Fragments CD) is also pretty cool also.

Temnozor fucking rules.
Yes the Fragments ep has their second best song: Pagan Sunrises - The Faith of Fire.

Ellis, please don't download this. Wait until you have the whole album, and find a time when you can listen to the entire thing without any interruptions. Make sure you can absorb it, and just be prepared to be fucked in the anus by this song.

Enjoy, guys. This one is special.
