Their music is really great btw, nice sounding acoustic sounds!

The thing is that the devil got a heavy metal tune compared to Tenacious D so maybe that was it.
I think Tenaciuos D just fucking kicks ass, when I saw Dio singing at the begininning of the movie I said "fuck Jack black is the man, he really lovs the metal God: Dio ".
Having in the movie Meatloaf was a blast too.

i was alittle disappointed by the movie. it had alot of rehashed jokes from the tv show (the jokes were funny the first time, less so the second time). Although my favorite part was the rock-off vs. the devil.

This thread inspired me to check the movie out and it was definitely entertaining. I dig the song they have at the end that mixed the metal with their acoustic style...definitely creative.

Yeah, it's a fun movie indeed... the music "saves" it though.
The story is pretty thin, kinda like the beavis and butthead movie or wayne's world, but it's a fun movie with some great tunes and comedy.
