I don't mind the idea of this thread, but I'm about ready to lock it if Acidraptor keeps posting rubbish.

Mathias....you and Einherjar, are definitely brothers of 70's prog for me! Tresspass is a strong Genesis album. And my Favorite Yes album of all Is Tales From Topographic Oceans. Brain Salad Surgery is my 3rd favorite ELP album, but oh so good!

I love Trespass. Really an underrated album, I think.

Have you guys heard Jon Anderson's Olias of Sunhillow? I used to love putting that record on and just letting it play.

Fuck yes!! Of course! That album is just.....atmospheric, emotional, spiritual.....(in a non-religous, non-gay way) Yes, it definitely is an album that you just can't skip tracks, or play one or two. To be able to feel it's impact, you havr to let it play, as you said. Great artwork on that album as well.

I actually haven't heard that. I assumed it would suck since most albums like that do and didn't want to be disappointed

Covers with no style, concept, creativity, or visually pleasing aspects whatsoever. Pretty much every cover you've posted.

Hey the guy seems to be into rap, so maybe these are creative and visually pleasing to him, and ones such as my Heep Wizard may not be, so lets be a little open minded...

Hey I'm trying, I really am, but seriously:

I can't see a redeeming feature.

It's his best, and anything he did after that really wasn't much to me. It feels like a Yes album in many ways, just not as musically technical as a Yes album would be. You won't be disappointed with Olias of Sunhillow.

It's a super fantastical adventure, and the story is really cool (if you buy the vinyl you can read the whole thing, although I'm sure you can find it online somewhere). The instrumentation is really subtle and atmospheric, and the album itself is best played nonstop throughout the course of listening. It's a really fun and rewarding experience, in my opinion.
