Cover looks sweet. Post an mp3 or two good sir :loco: Speaking of folk, Steve Von Till's new solo album 'a grave is a grim horse' is quite awesome. It's shaping up to be my favorite by him. Sparse, haunting, subtle, yet absolutely powerful.

Steve Von Till, eh? I'll check it out. Admittedly, I never heard any of his other solo work...I don't think so anyhow.

The guy from Bon Iver isolated himself in some remote cabin in Wisconsin and wrote the entire album and recorded it. Good shit. Here is a pretty good review of it ---> http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/record_review/45817-for-emma-forever-ago

Will, are you familiar with Iron & Wine ?

Thanks for the mp3, it's good stuff. I'm definitely intrigued about a whole album of this. I actually remember you recommending iron & wine to me before. I liked them, and had a bunch of mp3's but i've since lost them because i formatted my computer since. Any particular album i should check out?

I'm surprised you haven't heard Von Till's stuff. He has two previous albums before this one. Here's some mp3's off his recent album (some of them are pretty short):

It's all fantastic. They are all pretty intimate, with the first one being the most. Very lo-fi, and just Sam and his guitar. Our Endless Numbered Days brings a little more instrumentation depth to the table but retains the same intimate vibe, and the last one The Shepherd's Dog, adds even more instrumentation depth but, again, retains that same soul moving vibe. Woman King EP kicks all sorts of ass too. It's really a no-lose situation with Iron & Wine.

Let me know and I can make a thread about them/him....He really deserves it.

I second the Steve Von Till. Although I may like his previous effort better, I still really like A Grave Is A Grim Horse.
