No...in fact they have been rehearsing with Oyvind Haegeland of Spiral Architect and Lunaris, and Sverd deserves as much credit as Garm for the Arcturus albums...

That's ok, I guess, not a huge fan of Lunaris, there's a review actually on our site... (shameless plug!!)

Sverd is amazing, no doubt, hell the whole band is, I just think it's going to be hard to replace him within the confines of that band. It's the personalities more than anything.

Honestly, have you EVER liked something, and felt that you shouldn't make it public for fear of 'tarnishing your image' or 'losing credibility' because, you know, in the metal world, "you are what you listen to"? Come on, admit it, you like Dolly Parton don't you?
Nope. I'm so metal it hurts. :p

All the non-metal stuff I have is basically metal related -- Neptune Towers (Darkthrone side project,) Ulver, Nothing (Agalloch members,) Mistiggo Varggoth Darkestra (Nokturnal Mortum) etc...

Yep. And the one great thing about the new incarnation of Arcturus is that they can actually TOUR for once. One of the main walls that separated Garm from Sverd and the other members of Arcturus was that Garm (or Trickster G as he now wants to be known) was content with supplying studio magic only and was not interested in touring at all.

There were actually negotiations for the band to appear at Wacken this year, but it fell through at some point.

I understand your concerns. Trickster G has been amazing with Arcturus from day 1, but I'm confident that the current lineup will come up with something very special. Give it a chance, as I'm sure you will.

I will also miss Garm's contribution, no question...but as for the new lineup, remember what I said about the foolishness of expecting consistency from a band like Arcturus...

Yep, and that was basically my point before as well about those that heard LMI expecting to hear AHS, and so forth. Open yourself up (yourself in general) and get over the need to hear the exact same thing. You won't realize what you're missing.
