The Big Four tour has the green light

Aye, Metallica and Dave Mustaine sharing a stage? Could only end badly.

Yep, I think they've already got that in check. It's only two dates so far, and they're both festivals so they won't have to actually see each other or anything.

Dave's gonna say something nice to Kerry King, who will in turn get pissed off for no reason, which will in turn piss Dave off who will then start throwing shit at Lars who will just call the whole thing off after the other Dave (Lombardo) makes another comment about Lars' drumming. Due to the fact that no one gives a shit anymore about Anthrax, Scott Ian and Charlie Benante will try to garner some attention and fire John Bush again when they hear some random dude in the audience singing along to their songs and try to hire him instead.

Why is this tour of American thrash significance only happening in Europe? Talk about the bullshit of irony...

Obviously logistics in an acidic environment. If they actually toured the US, that means lots of interaction between all of them and lots of downtime...not a good idea from a promoter's point of view. In Europe they play one place and then hop on a bus and four hours later play in another place.

You have to remember that most 80's thrash metal bands of that caliber are whiny babies.

Make no mistake: this is a cash-grab opportunity, that's it. If these bands actually liked each other then they would've done this tour years ago and continued to tour together. I fucking hate rock stars.

This seriously has the makings of a new reality tv show.

I don't think anything at all will happen. And there is no reason why they should be crossing their ways more often on a US tour. Slayer and Megadeth just recently toured Canada and Australia together and they (Mustaine, King and Lombardo) only bumped in each other for five minutes once and that was colloquial. Everyone is doing their thing...

Machine Head was also part of that Canadian tour and Flynn said, he didn't get to see Mustaine even once.

Everything is totally separated, no matter where they are.

Of course it's business, but does that even matter? It's not like they're pretending to be best friends all of a sudden and they don't have to. Who cares? It's just a show... Hell, I can't stand many of the bands I'm playing with either.

I just want to see it because I like every single band on that bill.

I'm gonna be nowhere near it. I'm just not that interested in any of the bands.

As a rule I don't actually like concerts, as silly as that may sound.

This is nothing, just four bands happening to share the same stage at a festival. With the upcoming Slayer/Megadeth/Testament tour there isn't much chance of there being a tour with the big four...

And with the enormous undertaking a tour like this would be it would obviously be a huge venue/coliseum sort of thing and i really wouldn't care for seeing bands like that, i did see metallica in our big coliseum whatever thing and that was awesome but i couldnt stand just sitting watching these bands

I'd rather see Testament headline than all the others.

Metallica *YAWN* I'd rather prune my balls than look at Lars and James make monkey faces all night.

Megadeth.... meh

Slayer... kinda like finding an old set of comfy shoes in the back of the closet.

Testament rocks live.
