I'm surprised no one has made this thread in this sub forum yet. Anyways, for starters, I am looking for doom black metal, such as early Forgotten Tomb, Bethlehem, Abyssic Hate, etc. Actually, any gloomy, depressive black metal would do, but I am most interested in melodic black doom recommendations.

I was thinking of creating a BM recommendations thread, but the Black Metal thread in the main forum has served us so well these past months.

Agreed - this thread is a waste of time. The original Black Metal thread rocks

maybe someone will want melodic BM, or gloomy BM, or 2nd Wave BM, or Smyphonic BM, but not raw BM... so why shouldn't they have a thread specifying, rather than looking through shitloads of pages hoping to find just that... What a waste of time that would be.

If you think this is a waste of your time, you don't have to offer your assistance. (obviously, you wont read this, this thread being a waste of time you won't be monitoring it, but sadly it's a message people need to remember---if you don't like it, leave it, and someone else will help them while you find something you do like.)

Or maybe they could post at the end of the thread where people read and everyone will answer them.

Ontario, Canada has a pretty good scene. Woods of Ypres, Will of the Ancients, Wolven Ancestry etc..

everyone online that hour, before it goes to the next page, and people who browse through the boards in the next few weeks have no clue such a request was made some pages back in a massive thread among all the other threads.

None. They're boring

I'm pimping the fuck out of this band:

A young band with an almost eerie level of professionalism, they have just released their first demo called "The Aurora Veil" following a highly successful string of gigs up and down the Australian coast, building up a devoted cult following on the way.

Their material is built on a foundation of Black Metal, with classical music and spanish flamenco interludes all fused together in an avantgarde style. In a unique twist, their violin usage provides a second virtuoso in combination with their beautiful guitar solos and acoustic interludes, extending into explosive and tight Black Metal . "Alarmingly" mature songwriting is clearly audible on their demo, proving an approach which is very much beyond their years.

Blistering drumming supports the weaving vocal performances: snarled black metal styled shrieks, thick lower growls, and clean, beautiful warm baritone singing, their music is truly unique. This band is destined for an extremely bright future and should be snapped up as soon as possible. Ne Obliviscaris is definitely the most skilled and creative eruption of metal that Australia has ever seen.

I cannot recommend enough how amazing and unique this band's material is, a most worthy investigation for any lover of Black Metal and more avantgarde or artistic styles.
