I' am curios to know how Italian metal bands are seen around

the world or If you know or even listen to some of them.

I'll name just a few : Lacuna Coil, Novembre, Necrodeath, Void of Silence

Where did you see Novembre live?
I never saw them playing (unfortunately), but their last album is great!!!

As for Ephel Duath, I know their working on the new album, "The Painter's Palette", I'm really looking forward to it!

And to the first post: I really like Novembre out of the
bands that you listed. But how I "see" them? It's just
music... I don't have a special relationship with Italian
music in particular. As I know a lot of people like
NORWEGIAN black metal and SWEDISH death metal
etc... hehe.... Novembre is just a band making GREAT
music (wich is good enough for me ) ), not an
ITALIAN band ) But then again, I never really think
about where a band is from, it's the music they make
that counts )

i am not a power metal fan, but i did have the chance to meet the guys from vision divine- labyrinth- their not bad for power metal- i really like labyrinth's return to heaven denied- one of the few power metal records i have ever liked- anyway it seems everyday that you hear of a new cheesy italian power metal band. I havent been to italy in two years, but last time, it seemed most metal fans were all about power metal- so does any italian know if this is still the case?

It must be a bootleg!!!!! I don't think that exists an official split Borknagar-Novembre......

Well, it's certainly not a bootleg, it came with the "Empiricism"
album as a promo single. It contains two Borknagar songs
and two Novembre songs if I remember correctly. I have it in
my collection somewhere. I bought the Borknagar album and
got it with it for free, guess who was dead happy?! >)

they blend together southern italian folklore with black metal in the same way norwegian black groups do with their traditions.
