Raunchy rock with a distinct almost party-like vibe is what's on display here. It recalls some of the more fun moments of the 70s and 80s rock scenes such as bands like AC/DC, who, despite a fairly straightforward approach, manage to stay vibrant and fairly exciting. This comparison isn't really fair though because their peers still have quite a huge upper hand and a far larger discography with many memorable moments on their side.

Instead, we can observe this band as a fairly enjoyable entity in their own right that tread a path many others have, but still crank out enough distortion and quality chorus' to give you a grand run for your money. Thus they do come across as fairly light-hearted in tone, but that could be expected and all the more nurtured as you play the music. A couple of highlights of the album include the aforementioned exciting breakdowns you can expect during the chorus' on the album and the crisp distortion portrayed by the lead guitars.

All around, the album doesn't really pull everything together into something mind-blowingly memorable, however, but rather remains only at most a slightly less than adequate trip. The lack of originality is also a contributing factor to the album's overall lackluster aura and it could be expected from an album of this particular style. Something to listen to when in a jumpy, upbeat mood, but certainly not the type of top-notch album that will warrant an increasing multitude of spins.

5/10

Very fun album to listen to and a nice break from spastic tech-core, goregrind or pretentious art-metal. I think it rates better than a 5 because of this.

I was surprised to find out that there's a member of Tiamat in this band!o_O
