Now we all know there are thousands of bands out there, but there are just a few that can make some of the most scariest\weirdest songs imagineable. Some so out there it shouldn't even be called music. Circle of Dead Children's - Isabella's Nightmare is a perfect example. Just something you wouldn't want to hear after smoking a little PCP.

Dead Skin Mask by Slayer always spooked a friend of mine.

Personally there are a few Opeth tunes that give me a fright now and then.

Birkenau and I Shalt Become are creepy as fucking can be, even more so than Beherit's Drawing Down The Moon.

Death Cube K, I had one album of theirs(buckethead was on it, dunno if it was ALL him, i think it was though...) and it gave me weird ass nightmares when I slept to it...wasn't really MUSIT, more ambience...it was called something along the lines of "enter the dreamatorium" or somethin...

I wouldn't say its "creepy" but at night I listen to a lot of dark ambient like Kammarheit, or even stuff like Sunn O)))'s "It Took the Night to Believe".

A zillion jillion times.

Wasn't there a thread like this not too long ago? I remember recommending some stuff for something like this. In my opinion you have to pretty much venture into dark ambient/powernoise/experimental territory to find the truly creepy music. I can't really think of too many metal bands I've heard that I would describe as creepy (Blut Aus Nord comes to mind). Whereas there are loads of dark ambient projects that can really get under your skin and mess with your head if you listen to them under the right circumstances.

The soundtracks for the Silent Hill videogames are also really creepy but I think that's partially because I associate them with the atmosphere of the game itself when I listen to them. They're great though (the games and the soundtracks).

Same way i feel. The closest metal has come to being "scary" for me is probably Esoteric's Dissident (first time i heard that i almost had a heart attack in the first second and spent the next 17 minutes feeling like i should die) or maybe The Ethereal's From Funeral Skies.

I just listened through both Passion Immortal tracks (hour and 15 minutes total) and yeah, it has some genuinely creepy parts; and some trippy stuff

Waking up out of dead sleep in a dark room being caught off guard by certain death metal albums can be really creepy.

Somtimes I will forgot to remove certain cds, cds end up rotating.

Scares the crap of me
