but to be fair, lateralus and 10,000 days are way better than the earlier tool stuff

Wow! For once I agree with you. I was a bit into Tool for a while (Lateralus and Aenima), but once you've heard the albums about twenty times, it gets very boring. Very average on long term.

i saw tool about 3 or 4 years ago when King Crimson opened for them. i had barely even heard much from tool at the time.

It's been far too long since I listened to Tool, although I remember being highly unimpressed. Meh, whatt he hey, they might have grown on me, I might pick up 10'000 days tomorrow, since many seem to rant and rave about it.

It will however be several more years before I bother to listen to Dream Theater again.

Ah tool were good in June at the hammersmith. I was pretty blown away. First time i heard them live to be honest. I was impressed
