The Devil You Know

hahaha:lol:
That's pretty funny.

They just played it on Eddie Trunk Live (Charlie is being interviewed) but I missed the song. Tuned in too late.

How was the interview? Anything spoken about that we NFMB'ers wouldn't already know?

just listened to it on iTunes several times, it's the b-side of the 'Fight 'Em'-single, at least in europe. it's not thrashy at all, an average hard rock-tune, nothing special. it's more like the stuff on WCFYA only better, in the vein of 'Safe Home' or 'Taking The Music Back', i can imagine John Bush singing it. it's not bad at all but i'm not impressed, def. not worth the long wait, i hope that the rest of the album will be better. it looks like ATL will stay my fav. Thrax record. didn't they say that WM will be their heaviest record ever?:lol:

I agree it's really average, I HATED it when I first listened to it, but it's ok I guess. Granted I've only heard the sample, but I doubt a kick ass solo would lift the song much for me.

Yeah it rocks!!! :kickass:

Just heard 1:26 mins of it (preview on iTunes).

Pure thrash? Don't necessarily think so. Hardrock mit thrashy feel!

The song surely fits Joey's voice, like a glove!

:err::(:mad:

I am having a bad feeling about this album. Especially knowing they didn't make most of the songs knowing Joey would be the vocalist. WCFYA is not what I want to hear. Hopefully next time around they will finally let their guards down and make a true thrash album.

I will be skipping the safe home type ballads. Hopefully there is at least some Thrash Metal songs on there and hopefully Fight Em' isn't the only semi thrash sounding song on there

Scott had said that this new album was THRASH FUCKING METAL. He said that during their set on the Jaegermiester tour. But then again he says it during a Thrash metal concert with all Thrash metal bands. So thats what the crowd wanted to hear. Who really knows until we here it though.

Well, I like what I'm hearing. Sounds like there will be a bit of variation on the new album, which is a good thing, in my opinion.

You are probably gonna be disappointed, I think. Scott & Charlie always talked about making "a proper followup" to WCFYA. Take it for what it is...but I think they felt that was there best work (it's not....SOWN is) and wanted to emulate it to a degree.

Heard the preview a few times, I love it.
I recorded the preview if anybody wants to hear it without digging through itunes for it.
