The Devil You Know

I think Toast to the Extras just may be the lowest point in the career of any former Thrash Metal band. That song may be worse than even the Blaze Bayley era of Iron Maiden when they did The Angel and The Gambler. May even be worse than anything on any post AJFA metallica album.

Certainly only could go up from there. I guess everyone hits rock bottom at some point!

Cmon. To compare Bush to Bailey is crazy...Bush can sing. Blaze was nothing more than mediocre. Bush is a GREAT singer.

Not comparing Bush to Baily. Anthrax as a whole, not just John Bush. If Joey was singing on A Toast To The Extras or Blaze Baily it would still be just as bad.

I don't know how someone would label it as a "radio rock". To me it's 80's heavy rock, it's no Stone Sour, I doubt it could top some charts

Toast... is a funny song, such as Startin' Up A Posse. I don't know what's the big deal about it. I personally think the song is fine.

Well, after 20 or 30 listenings of TDYK, I'm completely in love with....

Is it the B side of Fight'em??? Absolutely Anthraxesque!!! This song have all the elements to be an Hit, and is on the B-side!

It is an exemple of the poor business feeling of the band ? Or an exemple of "righteous mind" : "we have the power to issue an Hit, but we refrain!"?
