brings to light a very important question in regional vernacular and such.

the night before Haloween...what do you call it??????

Mischief Night?

Goosey Night?

other options....

it's mischief night as far as I'm concerned, but not everyone here is aware of that fact. I find that most people are clueless that the date means anything.

I read somewhere once that the day before Halloween was "Devil's Night" and the day AFTER (11/1) was "Mischief Night". But we always called the 30th Mischief Night, and if we'd tried to pull off another night of mischief on the first of November, I bet it wouldn't have been looked too kindly upon.

omg i am so going to catch shit for this, and i have NO idea why it's called this, but where i grew up we always called it 'cabbage night'
