The dollar sucks (W. sucks)

It boggles the mind to trying to figure out why anyone would vote Republican in the upcoming election. I guess they like paying high gas and rising energy prices with money worth about as much as one of my baby's shit diapers. I guess as long as they can keep their guns....

Common sense is not America's strong suit.

I remember writing a paper in high school in 2004, the assignment being whether or not I agreed with going to war in Iraq. I was the only one who disagreed. Anyway, my actual point was that during my search for sources, I found an article from 2003 that condemned the Iraq war on the grounds that it was merely a vehicle by which the Bush administration could deflate the value of the dollar by raising the Euro in the international oil market. Obvious hyperbole, but it makes more sense to me now than it did then.

did your teacher fail you because you were "wrong" and then kick you out of his class because you hate freedom? :p

Sorry, had to do it.

i am in the middle of this mess as I deal with Europe daily ... my deals are made in US Dollars, but my contacts are now crying as the money I still owe them for unfinished projects is devaluing daily.

so i am now making deals in Euros ... good for them as they don't lose anything. On my end I build in a bit of depreciation into the initial deal and push them to finish projects faster so none of us lose that much.

however I can see the whole mess backfiring on europeans as they are now getting cocky and its making work there very expensive.

I'd totally vote for a Dem if the choices included anyone but the current two. It's absolutely surreal that we ended up with the 3 worst choices out of the lot. :erk:

there was a near on air revolution the other morning on the hip-hop station here in NY, Hot97, probably the most influential station in the country for black votes.
Obama refused to come to talk to them while he is in the TriState Area and the morning DJ called him a yellow, skinny bitch on the air.
you draw your own conclusions as to why he did not want to come.

At this point, the entire system needs an overhaul. New crooked candidates aren't going to change anything. Especially when heavily backed/paid for/influenced by third party interest groups ie corporations.

I'd hardly say we ended up with the three worst. After Edwards, I would put Obama second. And although I don't like McCain, I'd certainly put him over Huckaby, Guliani or Romney.

Zod

Yep.

I hope Obama wins the ticket and takes Edwards as Vice.

I don't want us to become Socialist eunuchs any more than Kriggy, et al, but I surely do not want perpetual war either. The thing about McCain that bothers me is that the man was a Nam P.O.W. for how long? I think he may have tried to take a stand against the water-boarding issue but flip-flopped. Why?! I can't get my head around that one at all.
