The EDM Thread

Yeah Giraffage was the first artist that popped into my head when I heard that song. Here's some more:

That second guy, Evil Needle has a pretty cool style. He's a bit too chill for me most of the time, but I love his transitions like the one at 0:37 of that song.

I liked the other song better. Gonna check out more of all the artists, though.

Reminds me of Flume a bit!

I am loving this whole album

This song sounds Asian to me. Which isnt a bad thing, just saying. When it comes to deep house or whatever you call this style, I just dont get it. Its too subtle for me. Shpongle is as subtle ill go.

I like hard bangers (or trance). But for bangers, take this podcast for instance.

Ill probably get a few facepalms for posting it but, FUCK!!! Melting my face off.

I didn't really get Deep House either until I heard Tornado Wallace's Paddlin'. Then it all clicked.

Smoke a fat one and listen to this. (Skip to 1:00)

Hahahah. Fatos Ceta is from Kosovo actually, so closer to Asia than most Euro producers!

I love me some TOTAL BANGERZ too but there's a time and a place. I generally post on here from work and I'd feel funny/slightly embarrassed to be blasting dirty dutch or whatever from my desk.

Artist I'm most pumped to see at Movement: JIMMY EDGAR

Just landed in Miami for 4 days of the Winter Music Conference. Should be some good fun! I have no idea who 80% of these DJs are though haha

The lineup is fucking massive, holy fuck.

I dont know a lot of names either other than big ones like Zedd, Porter Robinson, Datsik, Pete Tong etc. But ive seen all those bigger trance/house/dubstep names before...Id love to hear who made a memorable impression on you at the fest, so keep me updated.

Also, dont know if you know em, but if you check out XXYYXX let me know how it is. They are fucking sick and Id love to see em live eventually.

watch

Tonight in LA.

Fuck yeah.

This popped up on my iPod after years of abandonment. Some of the best dub out there.

I saw Boombox up in the mountains about a month ago, the only band of this genre I can actually enjoy. And I guess they aren't really EDM anyways--but it was cool

Fuck yeah he is...Its funny, I used to fucking hate him, even saw him live and he did absolutely nothing for me, but that Ultra set made me see the light. Now I cant get enough.

Im used to being around bro city...Whatever. I bring good vibes and pay zero attention to that shit and just dance my ass off. My biggest gripe with EDM fests/shows is space. I need my own personal space to dance and not get rubbed up on my sweaty backs.

EDIT: Who you been bumpin lately, Krampus?
