This is exactly what I was thinking. I am just starting to get into their older stuff, but I am OBSESSED with both Ruun and BTL. I rank BTL as one of the top metal albums of all time. Someone mentioned wishing Grutle would do more deep growls and less "black metal". I love both styles TBH, but his growl is absolutely FEROCIOUS, and I would certainly welcome more on upcoming releases.

In my mind, Enslaved is the #2 band out there, right behind Opeth.

To be fair most of *any* genre is shit. I have to say, though, I never really find myself enjoying black metal vocals (more tolerating them or appreciating the lyrics) whereas I can get into death vox when they're done right.

theres a episode of Practice Space on vbs.tv featuring Enslaved. Short and kinda stupid, but worth a watch.
