The Fairfield Is Booked Omg Wtf!!11!!

I booked a two-room suite at the Residence Inn earlier tonight, so they do still have rooms available. If nothing else, we can throw a pretty sizeable party in the room. \m/

Disappointing about the Grenada and the Fairfield Inn, though. I've stayed at the Fairfield Inn every year so far, and it's always been a really cool vibe. I doubt the Residence Inn's suites are as nice as the Fairfield's (home theater system! Two bathrooms! Three TVs!) but hey, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Well, it's 5am here in California... I just got off the phone with Granada, and I got their last room available from Thursday Night through Sunday Morning. He said they were completely booked on Friday.

Now I'm really glad I stayed up to make these reservations!

I just realized overnight that as much as I loved the Granada it is EXTREMELY overpriced. Another thing that really surprised me was how rude and just mean the staff was when I called. I am so thankful looking at the whole situation that I will be staying at a much better place with much nicer employees. I'm not even going to walk by the Granada.

I wonder if Glenn already had the bands at the Fairfield or if hes having to move them over to the Residence or whatever too. My guess is he booked them at the Fairfield months ago but Im not too sure. Ah well, if they are at the Fairfield well have to invite them to the REsidence to party with us.

For a cosmotology convention no less
Trust me, I'm not happy about the insane scramble for rooms, but in some sick way I see the "blending" of long-hairs and cosmetologists absolutely hysterical.

You know you long-hairs are gonna be chased around by scissors right?

Be careful where you all pass out, you might wake up with no hair in the am (lol).

Hey Sean! Where are you staying? We wanna be where you are! Granada told me this AM that they are fully booked already!

WTF? That really sucks. They were so great to us last year, I may call a travel agent and see if they have any open through them... I'm guessing not though.

Either way, the party isn't at the Fairfield, the party is with the people... We'll just have to take it to a different spot this year.

Besides with all the beauticians running around, don't you think at least a few of them will want to make us metalheads over? Can't you just see the headlines now?

REALLY??!! I'm surprised! :err:
You could not have spoken to Scott Elmore, Sales Manager and Asst. GM. That's who I spoke with and he was SUPER nice and helpful and even sent me an e-mail with my confirmation saying he was looking forward to meeting us. Also the staff last year was very, very friendly and helpful even when things got a little crazy. I know for PP4, the hotel was not pleased with the large number of people coming into the hotel who did not have rooms there and some of the partying got out of control, but they were cool about everything last year. I guess the with Fairfield shindig going on, things were tamer at the Granada and more managable for them.

I'm happy to be there this year, but hope you find a cool place to stay nearby, Q. We'll be seeing you!

Looks like I'll be at the Residence this year, too. I've always been at the Fairfield, so this should be an interesting change.

So much for the Fairfield. I just booked at the Hampton Inn. Stayed there for PPIV and it was nice, just a little further walk. They also have free parking, which is nice. It would cost me about 65 bucks to park my car at the Residence. Screw that, I can buy alot more Beer and CDs with that dough! :loco:

I just got my reservation at Granada. Heads up go hit www.hotels.com there was a couple left. I got the rooms at $95 a night but the guy said that was the last one at that price. There is a $120 night room I think it has a Jacuzzi that showed up as being avail.

Sorry AMBR I think I need to clarify what I said about the Granada. I had a great time last year and at PP3 but when I called yesterday and today (a total of 5 long distance calls) I was treated like absolute shit every time. They told me to call at 7 this morning then 8 then 9 and then they told me they sold out at 6A. I was very very upset at the way I was treated. I know they were busy but isn't that their job to answer phones and take reservations? If they don't like it get out of the customer service field.

I would highly recommend anyone that booked at the granada to look around at other hotels. You can find a lot better deals and save huge money!
