California gets lots of snow every winter (people forget the majority of this state is mountainous, including the residents), even in Death Valley. Granted, it's no Norse winter or anything, but yesterday was the lowest snow level I've seen in years.

I've seen snow in Houston only twice in my almost-27 years. I'm glad I lived in Oklahoma for a year, if only because I got to experience a real winter.
