2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?
3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?
4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?

1) The smell of a certain kind of cherry candle reminds me of being at my grandparents house in the winter time.

2) Joe Satriani - Flying in a Blue Dream. When I hear it, I think about the time my uncle bought me my first big combo amp.

3) On The Virg - Alien Hip Hop. If anyone remembers Hurricane Ivan a few years ago, we got a direct hit from the aftermath. I always think of ruined homes and the giant concrete slabs ripped up and piled on each other when I listen to it.

4) The green Fruitopia (Do they even still make these?) reminds me of being in Florida and catching lizards/snakes.

5) Flower Kings T Shirt reminds of their show I saw a few years ago.

1. Smells. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory?
Coppertone Suntan lotion brings up so many great memories of summer at the beaches in Orange County!
2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?
Sentenced.. You Are The One
3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Pain of Salvation.. Second Love
4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
Plain Toast and a hamburger patty - Only Jax will get this one :D
5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
Wallabies!! every time I see someone wearing these ridiculous things it takes me way back in time...

1. Smells. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory?
Pumpkin Bread and Green Chile Stew bring back happy childhood morning memories.

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?
Some Led Zep tunes send me back to my childhood days in Brussels. I always like when those songs come on the radio.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?
Hendrix' Little Wing. An old high school friend was murdered in her apartment. Though I wasn't really close to her (I sat next to her in 8th grade math and had some HS classes with her), she was such an absolutely cool person. The tragedy of the event was rather weighty. When I went to the funeral and all, Little Wing was on my CD player. Every time I hear that song, I go back to that time.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?
Item 1 above. But I'm sure if I ever got back to Lubbock, I'd hit some big memories at certain restaurants there.

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?
I threw that one away some time ago...

1. Stroh. Actually it doesn't bring up a memory but the absence of one. On the day I turned 18. :D
2. Kamelot - The Human Stain. The song itself is lyrically very gloomy but brings up the memory meeting one very important person.
3. Killswitch Engage - My Curse
4. Noodles. I used to eat those a lot when I was a kid.
5. I have a necklace which I received from this same very important person. And her photograph.

1. Smells. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory?

Several....fish reminds me of the time my grandma took me to a fish market when I was 4 or 5 and I vomited all over the floor because the smell was too strong. The smell of the ocean brings up LOTS of memories. There's also a lotion that is apparenty very popular with women that my ex used to use and I smell at least a couple times almost everytime I go out somewhere.

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?

Quite a few....first two that come to mind are Birdland (weather report) and YYZ.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?

People Passing By (pain of salvation). The first time I heard this song coincided with with something that was WAAAAAYYYYY too fitting with those lyrics.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?

I have some sort of sick taste-memory where if I throw up or get any kind of stomach bug (food-related or not)...my mind associates that with everythig I ate that day and just seeing that stuff again makes me ill. I used to love my mom's enchiladas, but I haven't been able to even look at them for about 8 or 9 years now. Cheesesteaks always remind me of good times after band practice with my first band when we'd go to this KILLER sandwich place and get the best cheesesteaks ever.

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?

Yes.

1. Smells. Do you have a scent that when you smell it, brings up a memory?

The candy Violets...yuck!

2. Songs. Is there a particular song that brings back happy memories?

Many...one in particular is Only You Can Rock Me by UFO.

3. How about a song that brings up painful memories?

The Lights Burned Out by Magnum...a sadly forgotten "progressive" metal band from the early 80's.

4. Food. Is there a certain food that conjures up memories?

Yup...plain old grilled cheese made in a frying pan with butter...thanks Mom!

5. Clothing? Do you have an item of clothing or if you see a certain item, does it make you think of a time/place or person?

Fringed suede knee high boots...so hippy...my first girlfriend...1982...just got in touch with her via myspace...life is a trip...you'll all see soon enough.
