Hi Guys!

Well... just outta lack of guestbook or emailaddy I can comment to:

I thought the gig was Wicked!

All my favs were played (tho my request for "Nightmares by the sea" wasnt granted awww).

Hope you will be playing in Holland soon when I get back there!

Oh and Mattias, Give that poor Danny his Bass back will ya? ;)

hey, are you the girl who keep askin blackheim, are they gonna play Nightmares by the sea or not that nite at the front?

I was there that nite as well. Show was great, but I expect more people to be there, but it doesnt :yell:

Katatonia play a very good set and they end with MURDER which is great! New song from VE sounds much more better live, however it seems most of the people come for the old ones :)

anyway, it's very good show which this is my first experience to katatonia live preformance, and i am definitely looking to see these guys rockins again :hotjump:

yeah that was me. You the dude with the digicam?

still bummed that they didnt play it tho :)

Murder aint my fav, dont like grunts/growls but oh well I can live with it.

Loved the gig tho and cant wait till the come to Holland when Im back there!

I was one of the people with the digi cam - I'm going to post my pictures as soon as the FTP program downloads, I'll shove them in this topic...

Did anyone else notice that at the front door, we were apparently going to see "Die Another Day"?? I always thought that was a James Bond film, not a death metal band :loco:

Hi ~Coldhen :Spin:

Maleno: yeh, i am one of the guy got the digicam as well, standing rite next to ya i think at the left hand side of the stage. you from holland?

Omerta: nice pics! thanks! i got some video clip from my cam as well, but dunno where i can find space to upload it anyway. will let you guys know when i'm done :)

Rainy Filth: you little rainy! haha

Pyretta Blaze: dunno you guys need to wait outside for half and hour~ i was there just before daylightdie start. just walk-in and pay 10pound, done :D

so what you doing in Manchester? just for a visit? or do you actually live in here?

i reckon the chance katatonia playing in holland is much higher than in manchester, as well as many other band of this kind. bands tend not to come around UK and even they do, they playing in London only. that's why i am very please that katatonia came to Manchester and also see Opeth last time when they came :>

coldhen

Lived in mcr all my life and never once been to the Bierkeller!
Doors were supposed to open at 8 so we thought we'd wander in an have a beer or 2 first! Cool place though, nice and dingy and dark! Cool sounds from the guys, quite haunting, still buzzing from it!!

:)

ic! i just actually got for katatonia, so getting there a bit late, but manage to get to see daylightdie as well is not what i expected. however, they sounds good me, enjoy their song a lot. but pornanphas(!?) seems is not my type at all, just wondering around at the time.

never been to there at all as well, but it actually looks great. good place to chill out as well even not watching gigs there. and heard there play different kind of stuff from dark tranqillity (my fav fav fav :hotjump:) to opeth, evoken, mayhem, and some hardcore tunes as well, which i also enjoy too. will definitely go there sometime later!

p.s. i like those pint cup in there. hardly find any place in mcr that uses those cup! great !

thats cause it a german pul (cup in german)...

Im living in Manchester, temporary, for a placement Im doing here. (going back at the end of June)

We do prolly have more metal coming over in Holland, Katatonia actually did a gig as support for Opeth a few months ago (or almost a year actually). And the advantage of living close to Amsterdam helps too (tho most Metal tends to be in tilburg, which is kinda far away)

cool. wish every pub in here use those as well.

haha you must miss manchester when you go back, rite :D ?

i wish more band should come to manchester. i know is no where to compare to london as playing in london got more audience, but for me travelling down london means spending shit loads of money. and there is no way i could go down and back all the time thru out my uni course (exam sucks....) and work. kinda miss loads of band which i really wish to go already, Anathema is one of it :erk:

btw, i went to Amsterdam (airport) a lot as well, coz i change my flight there everytime when i back home to HK and back here, but never got a chance to go out and smell the air outside :Smug:

check out my pics in here, got some vdo clip which i may put up later on.

the vocal of pornorphans annoys me as well. really a weird choice supporting katatonia...

oh, how long ago since english pubs giving up the handled glasses? i've only been to UK for my 5th year, so i never know .....

Pornorphans are amazing. Much better than Daylight Dies. I'm very VERY glad they played, I never expected them too. I bought the album when it first came out and I've loved it for ages and finally saw them - it was great.

Jees dunno, years ago, maybe I just used to go to the right pubs!!

If you go into some old backwater pubs (the kind that have the old decor...not the modern 'old' decor!!) you can till get them if you ask. :)
