The last old metal album you listened to?

Judas Priest - "Defenders Of The Faith" (best album ever of the almighty JP)

And the most influential, I add :)

For me another classic JP album: Point of Entry

Hmm to me that's the worst of Halford first era, a couple of good songs, lots fo fillers and many crappy ones. A true classic will be for me "Stained Class" :headbang:

NP: Megadeth - 'Sleepwalker'

Heard almost nothing but Anthrax, since I saw them in Copenhagen last year in original line up. That kicked butt.
Wonder what's out there of new "old style THRASH". Any suggestions.

Not really new - But they've just released Sabbat's classics 'Dreamweaver' & 'History Of A Time to come' Remastered with several bonus live tracks. A must have for all old style thrash. The remasters have an excellent fuller sound and the volume is closer to today's standards than the original (bland) pressing.

Abandoned. You have to check the those guys from Germany debut, one of the best albums in the last 10 years easily.

Hirax new EP :headbang:

And don't forget the reissues/remasters of Intruder, Znowhite, Xentrix, Heathen, Toxik and Atrophy.

Deep Purple - Machine Head
Rainbow - Rising
Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction
Pink Floyd - The Wall

Mercyful Fate - Don't Break the Oath ('83 or '84) and Kreator - Pleasure to Kill ('86 I think) great old stuff
