Lethal is a thrash metal band containing me, Sorath, and two others. We're going to start rehearsing next week and I'm quite excited to begin playing thrash metal terror, seeing as Nasheim is a "project" rather than a proper band nowadays. Anyway, song titles include "Thrash Metal War Machine", "Devastation", "Meet Mr. Fist", "Lethal Thrash Metal Attack", "Under the Banner of Death", "Tormentor" and "Kill for Pleasure." I just thought I'd shamelessly plug this song, which is written by me and recorded at home. We're going to rehearse it soon. This recording is suitably raw and poorly played and features me on vocals and guitars and Sorath on backing vocals and untuned bass guitar. Personally, I think it rules. If you like, you can let me know what you think.

Cool stuff! What did you use for the drums.

Also, if you record straight into the computer, you might be interested in the new V-Amp floor pedal. It is very cheap and can still be used live, if need be.

I've seen it at Musicians Friend for $69 or something. I'm going to get one in a few weeks. Your guitar sound will sound much better going through something like this.

The song was great, though. Playing thrash live is the ultimate!

I have the regular V-Amp 2 with the little pedal that came with it... However, this was recorded with my 15 W amp miked for a more rehearsal-type sound, the V-Amp sounds way too good. :p I have some quite good recordings made with my V-Amp (for example, my Katatonia cover -- http://nw.ath.cx/~lutz/phyre_-_i_break.mp3) Drums are the Natural Studio kit (http://www.nskit.com/) with excessive amounts of compression and small-room reverb, again for a rehearsal-type sound. Anyway, thanks for your comments!

Sounds good you guys, now finish the next Nasheim before you get too side tracked with another project. :p

I know pally, I was kidding about the "buffering" thing. I'm usually exploiting my bandwidth so badly, that Real Player will always buffer. Anyways, the song really is good. I was headbanging. :headbang:

markgugs: Great :headbang:

npearce: Well, we should probably rehearse for a while first. :p We have enough song material though, aside from our own stuff we're also planning covers of Bathory "Born for Burning", Exodus "Bonded by Blood" and Sodom "Outbreak of Evil"... We do plan to play live eventually though. They actually hold concerts in a hall in the same house our rehearsal room is in. Mostly hardcore bands though; I bet you'd enjoy those shows :D Very small underground-type gigs (no PA system or wussiness like that, only amps on a stage) of various -core bands, several times a month. Our rehearsal place is shared with three or four hardcore bands as well.

Not bad, not bad...this Meet Mr Fist don't 'alf sound like Absurd, I must say. I kinda like it ^_^

What I think ?
Tx for link, I so listen to something right now,
it's a Demo version, and the drumming sound is so harshly dry damn ....
Thrash so it is.

Haha, as I said, I made the drum sound very garagey on purpose. The samples are actually much more hi-fi. Anyway, thanks both for your comments. I'm currently packing my metal-making equipment up for the first rehearsal.

Ayeka, what the fuck are you talking about, if I may ask?
Let me guess I'm in the mood eheh ....
he tells about Absurd, right the drums sound is also pretty harsh and the prod' a bit dry, but it's more about old school RAC than old school thrash .... Metal naturally.
