anyone here into them? People classify them as emo but thats because of at the drive in which was what members of TMV used to be in. They are closer to Santana and Rush. deffinately not like any pop emo bands of today. they can fucking rock out and the singer can fucking sing.

it's thier lyricle style the lyrics all seem to be riddles to me. But they've even said themselves stop wasting so much time on figuring out what they mean and just enjoy the music.

I actually did an interview with the guitarist Omar and he was weird. He burst into tears suddenly without any particular reason. I didn´t get to see the show later, but people said they dug it.

Sorry to pull up old threads like AM but I just bought the cd(Frances the Mute). Strike that...I had to buy both the full lengths because Frances the Mute kicked my ass so much. I definitely see what you mean by the Santana reference, Jono. These guy's are a definite breath of fresh air in a world of Maroon 5's and here today gone tomorrow crap. Stellar musicianship and great songs

I don't know if you know or not but they have a 12 inch LP out with Frances the Mute title track on one side and the Widow live on the B side. I have heard that this album is "the key" to unlocking the CD. Whatever that means. I got it last week but my turntable is not hooked up right now. But your right this disc kicks ass. Its so broad, heavy one minute and then it will take you in to some free jazz and then to some flamenco and then back to heavy.

indeed and as far as the "decoder song" goes the band said themselves to not try to figure out what the lyrics are and just enjoy the music. so i'm not sure why they call it a decoder.
