I'd say it's harder, but only because of the sheer number of parts, not the ambuguity of what's going on. The playing is clear (good) enough that you can hear everything they play, just maybe not all at once
I always found something weird about both Still Life and Morningrise. To me, they don't fit in with the other Opeth cds. I'm still not sure what it is.
you can break it down into key parts, and then add the rest in as you go. The tab may look complex but with 2 guitarists live, you pretty much cover everything.
I agree about Still Life and Morninrise not quite fitting, but I like that The both have their individual characteristics that make each of them stand out from other Opeth.
That's the exact same notion that hit me when I started learning various Still Life songs. There's so much going on at once, and the passages are all so cleverly layered that you can't help but feel rather 'empty' only playing one guitar part on your own, haha.
