The most energetic I have ever seen the PP crowd...

Raistlin has hit it on the head when it comes to the business aspect of the festival.

As for your sig, you are correct. However, I've watched both band videos and there is no comparison to the participation tbetween the two.

Heh. Raistlin. I do own that name, but not here. Do you secretly hang out at DiabloII.net or play on Battle.net? That name was taken when I got to these boards.

Anyway, I don't doubt you since you have the video evidence. However, Norra El Norra is still the most fun performance I've ever seen at a ProgPower. I wish I'd seen Bleed though.

Easy to guess form your avatar, I'd think... he was always my favorite DL character, btw. :) I'm on battle.net occasionally, though.

It was fucking fantastic. The energy was unbelievable, and the reaction was kick-ass. One of the highlights of PP, without a doubt.

Let's clarify...the documentary is what sold only 350 copies. I have no idea what the numbers are in terms of pre-sales for the new one.

Wow. I'm just shocked. I was rushing in to get it on Friday becuase I was scared it would sell out before the first night was over.

It's an outstanding DVD. Can't believe over 800 PP attendees passed on it that weekend.

I'm watching video from last year and there is a :OMG: moment. The entire floor turns into one big pogo stick when "Mark of the Triangle" kicks in.

Awesome.

You put together the best show in town (and the best from a few countries I might add).

That's our way of saying "THANK YOU!!!"

Well - I didnt want to spend the money for 2 dvds at the festival (might cut into my beer fund) but I will be ordering one for my buddy who goes down there every year and meets up w/ me for xmas - hope he doesnt read this :)

The place was pretty jumping for Tad Morose and Brainstorm too, not to mention Edguy

The thing is, G can go back and watch that shit!!! we cant :erk::erk::erk::p:p:p:p

Yet! Can't wait for the DVD

I have a Dalamar account on Battle.net too, but Raistlin was the coolest DL character. After all, he was the only one worthy to carry the staff of Magius.

Nora El Nora or Blood? Your post applies to both I'm sure, but I take it you ment the latter.

Mercenary doing Cowboys From Hell, the whole place went nuts.

Shhh but I was actually in the seats dozing off a bit (due to an exciting night prior, not due to Mercenary's set) when my friend looked at me and asked if I was sleeping.

I nodded (see I was coherent), seconds later the Cowboys from Hell started. I jumped up immediatley and said, "Nevermind, now, I'm awake!"

Yikes, I figured just about everyone there would want a copy of that DVD, I'm kind of surprised at the low turnout (so far...)

Back to armchair promoting, I remain :zombie:
J-Dubya

35% of the audience at a concert buying ANY one thing is staggering, especially something at that price point. I am willing to bet that (outside of PP t shirts) there has never been an item bought by as many people at one festival.

Mercenary doing Cowboys From Hell, the whole place went nuts.
Mercenary doing Sieze the Night a few years back, the place went nuts.

I'm starting to detect a trend.

I was one of the ones going completely insane during several of Mercenary's songs. That was one energetic set period!!:kickass: :kickass: :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

Mercenary slayed. I can't wait to see the footage from that show as well. If Cowboys From Hell is on there somewhere, well... everyone can see the look on my face when Glenn stagedove right next to five two little ole me.

Fuck yeah dude... I actually thought Mercenary had the crowd going nuts more so than Evergrey did, but according to Glenn I am wrong. Maybe because of the fact that I saw Evergrey from the seats, and Mercenary from the middle of the floor, close to the stage. Everyone was going nuts during their set, and Cowboys from Hell was historic for obvious reasons.

I honestly hope (and believe) Mercenary will become close to what Evergrey is for ProgPower (or for Glenn for that matter). They deserve to be the most repeated return band ever.

While I do agree Raistlin was awesome, doesn't his nephew Palin also carry the Staff of Magius at one point. ;)

I saw both from the front and I think they got similar reactions from the crowd. I personally was more excited about Evergrey's set but might not have looked it since I was so fuckin' tired by that point.

I agree about Mercenary becoming a ProgPower poster boy. I feel that if they continue to build on the monster that is "The Hours That Remain", that in 4 or 5 years after a couple of strong albums, they could easily destroy CenterStage as a headliner.
