The most Sorrowful, melancholic Songs / Acoustic's

and the Saturnus track 'For You Demons' from the 'For the Loveless Lonely Nights' mini-lp.

The Saturnus track in particular is my favourite emotional acoustic song. Heartbreaking, yet positive... it's strange.

:) . They need to get that new album out before people lose faith.

Re. Saturnus: The album is all recorded and has been for a while I think. They're looking for somebody to release it or something, very strange. I had given up on them when Kim left and released several good albums (with The Loveless and OTWATM) in the meantime, but the extracts on their site sound quite promising (except that "Murky Waters") and restored my faith.

Anathema - Lost Control (even better when acoustic live by Antimatter ;) )
My Dying Bride - For My Fallen Angel
Tiamat - Wildhoney (the whole album actually...)

well and many more.... but this comes to my mind first...

Great to see that so many people participate in this!
Lots of recommendations that I dont know :))
Hope to find all the stuff somewhere, but "Soulseek" is a good place to search music :))

Oh, and yeah, EMPYRIUM's Acoustic album is really great! I totally forgot about it. I like it even more then Ulver's "kveldsjanger" !!

my list would be looking like this

elend - a newborn sailor
rage against the machine - beautiful world
apocalyptica - many songs
bush - letting the cables sleep
dark tranquillity - auctioned
depeche mode - world in my eyes
evereve - a part of you
katatonia - many, deadhouse & relention as reference
new model army - many, reference: these words
opeth - hope leaves
selig - bruderlos
the doors - the end
the gathering - i shrink
theatre or tragedy - ...a distance there is

plus the other half i forgot.

Vast - Flames
Saez - there are sooo many... i'd suggest you A ton nom & Jours étranges (guitar), and "Thème 1" (piano)
Vnv Nation - Forsaken (vocal version)
Maximilian Hecker - basically anything... go on with Polyester to get an idea
Dredg - Yatahaze
Ester Drang - Words that cure, part 2

@Usherette

Yeah!! I like your taste!
the VAST song is great!!
Also "Saez - A ton nom" is such a great song, although I cant understand 1 word french, hehe
Great man!

Ialso liked some other songs.. the EXTOL acoustic "meadows of silence" is pretty cool! But EXTOL have another good song which doesnt fit to the other stuff they normally use to do, the song is called "Aperture"

Ho, and another song I remember. Not sure if people will laugh at me, hehe

ALANIS MORISSETTE "That particular time"
hehe, I am not a fan of her, but the song is interesting a lot :)
