The new Graveland, "The Fire of Awakening"

I've been meaning to get a Graveland CD or two. Would this be a good place to start?

Agreed. It is better than Memory and Destiny, but Creed of Iron just has that extra oomph to it. Still, it's good ol' Darken doing what he does best.

Creed of Iron might be the best place to start, then work backwards and get Immortal Pride and Following the Voice of Blood. Raise Your Sword is a nice little MCD in the vein of CoI.

I have three Graveland CD's:

Immortal Pride - very good
Raise your Sword - not bad
Thousand Swords - I normally turn this off half way through

I'm not a big fan of Darken's vocals either (he uses too much of them on Thousand Swords), but I guess they might take some getting used to...

These are around 8-10 minutes and have a lot of riffs. But if you are implying that "Sons of Fire and Steel" is a bad song then stfu plz kthx.

I finally got the limited Digibox after a quite hectic handle,
but it's worth to get, simply hellgood.
This album is evenmore metal than the previous, I recommand it even state it as # 1 of 2003. Even if you're not used to Graveland releases, you can't fail in getting it, if you like epic, and Pagan warmetal naturally.
