The New Iced Earth has possibly the worst lyrics ever

Spawn, you forgot The Reckoning. I know you don't like the chorus, but it is an awesome vicious song. :headbang:

IIn other Iced Earth news, I made an Iced Earth mp3 cd for the car today, and gave Alive In Athens a listen as this thread made me realise how long it have been since I listened to it, and I must say, I really did forget how awesome Barlow is/was. SOO much range it isn't funny, his bottom end stuff sounds SOO much better live. What presence. Totally reminded me why he is one of my favourite vocalists. :kickass:
The Reckoning is silly.

Gettysburg is NOWHERE near as great as Dantes, Something Wicked or the Scarred trilogy, come on! How can you even say its close? Gettysburg is all one tempo, and it repeats riffs for too long. Its a good trilogy, but it doesnt come close to the greatness of the other three I just compared it to, Scarred, Something Wicked and Dantes are some of the greatest metal ever written, Gettysburg isnt. But its ok.

Same here, thats why I brought it up back a couple of pages, id been listening to AIA and it just reminds me how great Matt is, I have a video of some of the show they took AIA from and its awesome, Matt rules the stage, he is the best frontman ive seen :headbang:

Gettysburg is awesome. The Something Wicked trilogy isn't consistent and it is only The Coming Curse and the solo in Prophecy that are truly awesome. The Suffering trilogy is more consistent than the SW one, and I love Slave To The Dark, but I find A Question Of Heaven very overated. People go on about the emotion etc, but I think the emotion in parts of Gettysburg is heaps better.

:ill: :loco: :dopey:

All three songs in the SW trilogy are classics! A Question Of Heaven is brilliant, one of the best songs ever, and gettysburg is certainly not better!

Class dismissed :)

I do dig all the songs in the Something Wicked trilogy, but Prophecy and Birth Of The Wicked aren't classics. Don't get me wrong, I think it rocks overall, I am just saying how good I think Gettysburg is. A Question Of Heaven on the other hand, I could just never get into.
