It blows me away how much worse Trump is on the attack in 2020 compared to 2016.

"She wants to slash funds for our military." -She just voted against a proposal to cut the military budget by 10%.

"She's in favor of socialized medicine." -She flipped on Medicare for All

Trump keeps trying to portray Biden (and now I guess Harris) as these far left ANTIFA loving socialists. Nobody is gonna buy this except people who are already die hard Republicans. What worked about his attacks on Hillary is they were based in reality. If he attacked them as neoliberal establishment shills who will screw over the working class for their donors, he would be doing much better in the polls.

The Kavanugh point he made at the end could of worked if he pointed out what a hypocrite she is for now flipping from "I Believe Women" to "I Believe Joe."

With Kamala Harris as VP I am officially 100% voting Trump this year. His garbage response to the riots and failure to direct the party where it needs to be made me iffy on whether I'd vote at all (the Libertard Party is full BLM this cycle so they're out) but Harris as VP to a president that could very easily die or resign in office makes it a no-brainer.

I agree with everything said immediately above about Trump though. Bannon was clearly the brains behind his political angling and now all Trump can do is occasionally tune into Tucker Carlson on the right day. The "boaters for Trump" would be another example of how out of touch he is.

The US government has proposed changing the definition of a showerhead to allow increased water flow, following complaints from President Donald Trump about his hair routine.

Under a 1992 law, showerheads in the US are not allowed to produce more than 2.5 gallons (9.5l) of water per minute.

The Trump administration wants this limit to apply to each nozzle, rather than the overall fixture.

that settles it, i’m rooting for trump. low pressure showers are the fucking devil.

Israel and the UAE establish 'full normalization of relations,' Trump says.
Israel says it will temporarily "suspend" plans to annex the West Bank, as part of a new peace deal with the United Arab Emirates.

The UAE and Israel plan to exchange embassies and ambassadors, according to the statement. It will be the third Arab country to open relations with Israel, after Egypt and Jordan.

"This deal is a significant step towards building a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous Middle East," Trump said Thursday.
"It will be known as the Abraham Accord," Trump said of the agreement, which, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said, is named for "the father of all three great faiths," Christian, Muslim, and Jewish.

Chicago looters smash Ronald McDonald House with terrified sick kids inside.
“They are already in a really, really difficult spot, and having this kind of additional stress and worry about getting to and from the hospital … because of safety concerns is just doubling the strain,” Mitchell said.

At least 13 cops were injured in violent clashes with looters, with 100 arrests. It started amid reports that a teen had been shot by cops, although police later said it was a 20-year-old man who had first fired at officers as he fled arrest.

Ariel Atkins, a Chicago Black Lives Matter organizer, cheered the looting, calling it a “reparation.

A Chicago Black Lives Matter organizer defended the widespread weekend looting in the heart of the Windy City — as “reparation.”

“I don’t care if somebody decides to loot a Gucci’s or a Macy’s or a Nike because that makes sure that that person eats. That makes sure that that person has clothes,” Ariel Atkins said at a rally outside the South Loop police station Monday, local outlets reported.

“That’s a reparation,” Atkins said. “Anything they want to take, take it because these businesses have insurance.”

All that rioting and looting seeking of reparations because a 20 year old black guy (initial rumours said he was a teen) fired on cops and they fired back and grazed his shoulder.

Once he's out of hospital he'll be charged with attempted murder lmfao.

People shouldn't underestimate the importance of things like showerhead pressure to the GOP's boomer base. That's exactly the kind of thing people like my dad eat up, because it's 1) actual government intervention, and 2) far more tangible to a person's day-to-day quality of life than a means-tested directive to reduce Import-Export Bank loans on Stanistan's bluetonium refinery capabilities. Same thing when Tucker Carlson interjected a jab at government porch regulations in the middle of an anti-antifa rant and every rentslave urban blue checkmark had no idea what he was talking about.

I think Trump handled the virus narrative poorly (despite his actual response being about as good as possible), but his choosing not to wear a mask for many months was arguably a good move. Every person right-of-center and older than 50 that I know despises masks, and I think it's because they're all old enough to remember family roadtrips with Jimmy Carter's 55mph highway mandate. If Trump went a step further, reversing federally-coaxed funds which forced state seatbelt laws and car insurance, he'd win a landslide. Muricans aren't servile anglo cucks like Bongland and the penal colony, many of us are still proud to defy the petty and minor.

I think majority of Americans are actually supportive of the guidelines. It seems that way to me anyways, most people in general are pretty compliant. Maybe the rebellious streak is stronger among Americans than many other places, but I still think it's a minority of people.

So... shit that doesn't really matter? That's what conservatives and boomers care about. Yeah, sounds about right.

This reads simultaneously as patriotic and sarcastic. Well done.

It is a minority, but there are "rebellious" places, if that's what we want to call them. I'd call them something else.

I was including BLM protesters willing to shirk basic distancing guidelines.

On the other hand Americans love to talk about how every other country is a nanny state (not untrue) because our gun rights are heavily curbed, meanwhile America is a police state and cops murder people in their own homes for the crime of answering their door armed, or for retaliating against cops for a no-knock raid in plain clothes, or get executed for petty crimes by cops etc etc.

Yeah you guys are better armed against tyranny in theory but I've yet to see this in practice.

At least they wear masks...

If it came to armed conflict between civilians, it'll be a shit show. Right-wing gun nuts emphasize training and discipline, but have no idea what kinda shit they'd get into if they actually threw down.

I think that's one thing Bushwick got right.

To be fair, a lot of people are being arrested on the pretense of being looters, when all they're doing is protesting/marching. BLM is trying to raise money for being detained on misrepresented pretenses.

At least they wear masks...

Yeah some of them do (also a lot of convenient overlap due to AntiFa's presence and their habit of hiding their identity), but they also gather in monstrously larger crowds and in general have more interaction with the areas they demonstrate in than anything the conservative boomers could ever manage to pull off. That's not even including the rioting and looting that follows a good chunk of the protests.

The armed conflict would probably be right-wingers on the defense and these Bushwick-types running around the streets fighting with cops and anybody else. I mean we basically saw this play out with the recent rioting and looting. Those with guns protected their businesses and property successfully, those without got stampeded over by the rioters of peace. Victory would depend on one's perspective. Also as we pretty much know from reading news stories and watching footage, people with illegally acquired firearms are often terrible shots, this is why it's common for them to miss their target and hit some random toddler nearby.

To be fair, she's saying to protect black criminals. Literally that wording.

The "rioting and looting" is being over-reported. The news media makes it look like war zones. It's not that. There's bad shit happening, but it's not endemic to the movements at large.

Those "rioting and looting" aren't the ones we should be worried about. They're causing a seriously minor amount of overall damage. It's just that individual cases get reported on and blow up to become representative of the norm. Those participating in this behavior don't stand a chance against armed defenders. The real bloodshed will come when gun nuts think they can take on the organized networks.

Well, black criminals tend to get convicted on trumped up charges.

I said "the rioting and looting that follows a good chunk of the protests" I didn't say shit about the media coverage or whether it's endemic. The coverage I've followed is mostly on-the-ground independent/civilian accounts. Anyways that wasn't the point, the point was that these not-uncommon riots and looting that follow protests also increase risks associated with the pandemic.

No need to get defensive.

I'd wager right-wingers are involved in more networking and communitarianism than whoever their opponents would be, or at least in more networks comprised of people capable of proactive violence or self-defense measures. I mean, what exactly are you referring to?

Well, black criminals tend to get convicted on trumped up charges.

lmfao I can only shake my head, you really do engage in embarrassing levels of apologia at times.

Ok, fair enough.

Have you actually watched The Wire? It's based on actual criminal networks.

lmfao I can only shake my head, you really do engage in embarrassing levels of apologia at times.

What makes you think you have some better sense of what's actually happening here? You don't live in this country.

Oh okay so in a civil war situation, criminal organizations will kill the "gun nuts" because for some reason the "gun nuts" will threaten said organizations...?

Maybe you've watched too much TV?

What makes you think you have some better sense of what's actually happening here? You don't live in this country.

Fair enough, I'm not qualified to interpret what an activist means when she says "Who do we protect? Black criminals!" into a megaphone during a protest because I'm not American. Reasonable position. What she actually meant was we need to protect falsely accused black people black people guilty of a petty crime that then gets trumped up and has them hit with a heavier sentence.
