Doesn't say on the main page in which order the bands are going to play yet, so anything's possible still! But a nice, unknown band which will be a pleasant surprise is always good, ofcourse!

Aye, but PPEU has a reputation for booking smaller and more prog bands, and PPUSA swings more to the power metal side of the equation, with more 'bigger' names rather than unknown bands.
Yeah, there's absolutely no use in comparing them. In fact, PP USA is more of a power metal festival, where a prog metal band might accidentily get invited.

Isn't that the festival that has Hammerfall? Any festival with hammerfall can never consider themselves prog. Nothing against hammerfall, but come on, it's like booking Leaves eyes.... Oh no, they have that too..... Well then, eeeehm..... Delain.... Oh noes, that too...... Well, bigger name.... Accept. No shit sherlock, they even have Accept?
Seriously, you wouldn't want to call those bands progressive, now would you? That's like saying Yngwie is progressive.
Ps. No Yngwie hating, love the guy, but he's about as prog as apple pie.

QFT. Though they've had Sabaton, and those guys are even less prog than Manowar. Compared to Sabaton, gravity is prog.

The 3 opening bands will be announced this week. On Sunday we choose for a band like Knight Area last year, which means a more progrock/metal oriented band. On Saturday we will book a good newcomer in the progmetal scene. And on Friday a more experimental band will open the festival, a bit heavier stuff!
We have broken some unwritten rule. In other years mainly Dutch bands opened the festival. None of the 3 opening bands are Dutch this year.
So within a week the line-up is complete, flyers and posters will be pressed, a big promotion campaign will start, arranged by our merchandise partner Metal Mailorder from Germany. So don't be surprised if you see some promotion of ProgPower on all big European festival this year, because the guys from Metal Mailorder will be on all known festivals like Sweden Rock, Wacken, MetalCamp, Bloodstock, etc etc.
