Wrath of Cortex is a good game imo. I have heard many complaints about how that ruined the series but I think the series-ruiner was Twinsanity or Crash of the Titans.

2 was alright, I heard the 360 version was dire though

Is Baldur's gate a D&D game? The cover looks awfully similar to my Player's Handbook.

I never played the first game but Birth of the Stealth Assassins is pure win. There isn't many good stealth games on PSOne, but imo Tenchu and Metal Gear Solid are the best of PSOne-era sneaking games. Though it was a hell of a lot harder in Tenchu and it didn't matter if you were fighting against one or five enemies, because fighting nearly always meant that you're gonna get killed. And the stealth kills are cool.
