I see hip-looking kids with Cannibal Corpse shirts all the time and I automatically assume that they're faggots.

Btw, Morbid Angel logo is sooo much more cooler then the CC one.

So I would rather have that on my shirt then a CC one.

they are hardly my favorite dm band, in fact i cant remember the last time i listened to them. but who exactly rates them so highly? all i ever see are people bashing the band. granted, every band has its diehards, but as far as UM goes, CC is never mentioned in the "Best DM Albums" type threads. so again, how exactly is this band overrated?

I don't think UM is very representative of the majority of metal fans. I think the guy who started this thread is a more accurate picture of that.

Too true! About once a year, I listen to Deicide and really try to get into them but I simply cannot.

Same goes for CC - with the exception of The Bleeding which I really like but mostly for nostalgia.

CC kicks ass... true the last 6 albums or so pretty much sound identical... but almost all of their stuff is enjoyable with two albums being classics (Tomb, Bleeding). Great onstage as well.

Thoth, what did you think of The Wretched Spawn? Just ordered it online and heard a few tracks, sounds good, but there is less grunting and more high-pitched screams. Can't wait to get it.
