Don't blame the sitcoms for having laugh tracks forced on them.
Plus by having that rule you're discounting decades of quality sitcoms.
They really don't use laugh tracks much anymore. Disney still does for it's shitty tween shows, but generally shows filmed on a closed set are shown to live audiences to record the laughs.
The new season of Curb your Enthusiasm is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Max would absolutely hate it.
I hate shows who's entire premise is the main character(s) getting into self-inflicted awkward situations. That shit is not funny to me.
