NP: Been Caught Stealing Jane's Addiction

IMO 3 of the best minutes in rock history

Really? That is actually one of my least fav Jane's tunes.
Much like many 90's albums (Metallica's BLACK ALBUM for example), the weakest tracks were released as singles. Just my opinion.

That's too bad. I personally find the best songs are the short songs (like this one). You're really getting into it and then it ends. It leaves you begging for more.

On my way to pick up Paul, Larry and Joe for the Celtic Frost show I think I listened to this one tune 8 times in a row before I got there.

One of my favorite non-metal bands who was awesome at this was Material Issue from Chicago, They had this down to a science.

Material Issue were one of my favorite bands in the early 90s. Both Joe and and I were big fans of theirs, a shame what happened to them.

Saw these guys a couple times. Most memorable show was openning up for the Replacements July 4 at Taste of Chicago.

It was the Mats last performance and my brother and I had a great time.

Ran in to Jim Ellison of Material Issue in the subway after the show. Shame he had to take his own life.

I was at this show too!!! The Replacements broke up on stage.

I worked at a radio station in college and we had Material Issue in the studio a couple of times, and we sponsored shows of theirs too.
Jim always seemed like an upbeat guy.

Nothing beat the energy of a Material Issue gig at the Metro though.
(well, maybe a Naked Raygun show back in the day).

Same, although I'm not a fan of the "Deeper Down" video. I don't like Charlie Granberg's work too well.
