Okay, since the time is almost among us when the album comes out, I thought we could have a pre-cd thread.

Basically I hope that PL is like V or TDWoT, with more keys and less punch in the guitar. I also hope that there is a huge epic, 25+ minute song in there. It would also be cool if Allen tried some death growls or darker type singing.

So what are ya'lls hopes/thoughts on the cd?

I know the album is going to be a killer and I wish it to be something in the fashion of V. I just hope that when I order it, it will arrive safely. I think there's one song about the impatience on this forum and it's going to be called like "Devolution (The Spam Design)."

My only fear is that the post office sends me a note with "Paradise Lost^2" meaning "Paradise Lost lost." If they don't regain it quickly I'm going to sue somebody.

I largely disagree, I want less keyboards, plenty of "punch in the guitar" and no "death growls", but a huge epic could be good.

certainly no growls for me, either - If it's something I cannot ignore, it is growls...
as for anything else, I certainly hope for good melodies, some punch and good song structures. If that includes more guitar or keyboard is not important to me in the first place...

I love the overall atmospheric sound on V, I'd love for PL to have more keys and a less dominant guitar. For the rythm section, groovy bass lines and real sounding drums, like V.

But screw my opinion cause I'm not MJR, if he would even take my advice it would sound like a clone of V (which would be major suck). I just want him to do whatever the fuck he wants to do, so it's like a surprise when it comes out.
