NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo.

18+?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I was SO looking forward to Dreamscape, but I clock in at a lowly 16 years of age, and pressing 17 at the time of Prog Power. Ugh, how could this happen?! Im on the verge of tears.

I remember sneaking in to a jam night to try to get up and jam. No one said a thing to me and let me drink too LOL I was only 19. That place became a long time hang out for me and I remember going back on my 21st and they were like WTF!!! :hotjump:

we've all been there. just makes it that much better when you do get of age. seriously, i missed enough shows of my own back then that i don't/can't feel sorry for you

I'm not a drinker either, and I'm......well......ooold. :)

Glenn and Shane, any chance of arranging an outside meet'n'greet (maybe in that long covered entryway) for the bands to chat with those < 18?

I'm not even sure if I'd be able to be at the pre-party if it was all-ages.......but it would still be great for those people here that are under eighteen to be able to go.

I'm with you. We've all been through it. Not being old enough to get in to a show builds character! :tickled: It does suck though.

I remember back in the day, when I was a teen, there was no 18+. Whatever the legal drinking age was, that was the age to get in a club. I think the 18+ is a good idea...it is a nightclub after all.

I've been shafted my fair deal of shows, most recently Amorphis/Into Eternity, which really bit the big one, but Into Eternity will be around again, and are swinging around this summer.

Sucks that a band I REALLY want to see like Dreamscape, that doesn't exactly tour the states, Im just a few days short of being allowed to witness the sheer awesomeness of their set. I was REALLY looking forward to watching the drummer, and picking up some tricks too =/

I'd just like to point out that Shane and Glenn, to the best of my knowledge, have no control *whatsoever* over this. If you want to complain, write my Congressperson. I could be wrong, but I think we're talking city and/or state laws here, so bitching here is a little on the pointless side and lashing out at people who choose to drink alcohol like it's their fault is even moreso.

I'm sorry you guys can't go. I felt the same pain many times when I was younger.

Yea, Im not putting any blame on Glenn or Shane, as their efforts are far appreciated, evem allowing the entire FESTIVAL to be all ages. I guess Im just a bit disappointed that I can't see Dreamscape, thats all.

<3 Glenn and Shane =)

thats hardcore. very metal dude \m/
I got hear the first MSG tour, Motorhead, and tons of Chicago bands that way. :Spin: It was cool back then.......I was 15 when I saw AC/DC with Bon Scott. One of my first shows. My Mom (who drove us) complained about how much we smelled like pot. We in-turn blamed it on the older people smoking it because WE would never do that........lol
