The Pagan's Mind Enigmatic Calling Appreciation Thread

METAL... nuff said!
I cannot get the ending of Entrance To Infinity out of my head.

I don't think I've ever really heard anything that huge, grandiose, balls-out, MASSIVE from any disc in the last five years. That last two minutes of the song is so damned perfect. Epic, mythological, and you can't help but be put in an excellent mood after hearing that song. So perfect.

New World Order. Best intertwining of a single riff throughout a song. The way they bounce it in and out through the song is so creative and inspiring. Such a simple riff! But they milk it for every ounce of power it's got! And not having this disc before their performance last year, it was the one song from their setlist that I remembered the most thinking to myself, "I gotta hurry up and get the rest of their catalog!"

I've been listening to this disc on and off at work, but I haven't touched it in about a month. So this week I threw it into my car stereo, and now the damned thing can't be pulled out. My stereo refuses to spit it out. It's so much more important to listen to this disc at full volume, cuz there's TONS of layers you can't hear at office-level volume.

I love these guys. Whenever they come back to America, I'll be there.

I agree, this is an amazing album. I have not listened to it in awhile but thanks to you it is coming out to the car today. I really hope they come back to America soon.

I think that album is one of Pagan's weaker ones. Before I get flamed I have to say that yes its an incredible album and I love it to death. I just find Celestial and God's Equation godly. Pardon the pun.

Hands down one of my favorite albums ever, by one of my favorite bands! :headbang:
When I got Enigmatic Calling, I couldn't imagine it being as good as Celestial Entrance, but damn if it did'nt overtake it. Probably, the most listened to disc in my player the year it came out!
God's Equation was easily one of my Top 5 of 2007 as well! :headbang:
And Pagan's Mind was my favorite performance of PPUSA last year...can you say Pagan's Mind fanboy! :kickass:

Great Album and great band. They did steal the show last year and Jorn is one of my all time favorite guitar players. These guys are amazing live and on disc. I love everything they have done. I hope Glenn will bring them back soon.

GREAT BAND INDEED.

Nothing even close to a weak track on Enigmatic Calling. Easily my favorite PM disc. Supremacy Our Kind is probably my favorite, but really they just all smoke.

Not sure what kind of drawing power they'd have on their own in the U.S., probably minimal as a headliner. But I do agree that they could be packaged with a few other good bands for a tour similar to the CIIC thing.

Their weakest disc IMO. I much prefer God's Equation for the quirkiness and Celestial Entrance for the beautiful melodies.

Cheers!
