The photography thread

Back from a dancing festival ! I was shooting in very dark conditions (in bars by night) without the specific equipment (i really need a more luminous lense now) so there's no really awesome pictures here, and I was more documenting than being artsy. Anyway :

Moved interstate a few weeks ago and moved into my grandfathers place. Only just got the camera out of storage, and as it's an infinitely more beautiful state than where we were before, I've been itching to take some pics of the property :yesway:

Most of them are edited (though nothing has been removed from the photos, just colour/saturation and contrast), except the pic of the front yard as a whole and the little statue things face close up - those are as taken.

EDIT: And a redone version of that photo the next morning (the above was a touch off centre and whatnot).

Need to take more shots with a longer exposure time, really digging your shots brian!
And I got a new lens today-tamron 70-300, gonna do some macros and portraits in the
future with it.

Somebody here who owns a fisheye lens or a fisheye converter?
Heard good things about a converter (forgot the companys name) that's around 130$,
but at the same time, I heard that converteres suck and that you should buy a lens,
but the cheap lenses suck and the "good" ones start around 350$, that's to much for
me, I just want to use it for fun.

Hey guys, I see a ton of photos I really like in this thread, great job! Does anyone have any photos you would be willing to let me use for an album cover for my solo project I'm working on? I don't have any funds to pay you royalties, but you would obviously be given credit in the credits. I'm not even sure if I'm going to charge for the album I'm working on, but I want to start putting together a cover.

The kind of stuff I play ranges from everything from ambient synth stuff, to post-rock, metal, and some classical. So I just need something that, when someone looks at the cover, they wonder "hey I wonder what genre this is"... if that makes sense.

I really like covers that are kind of conceptual and out of the norm photography with some filters/effects or actions applied to them.

Here's a few that I like to give you an idea...

etc. etc. etc.

If you're willing to "donate" some photography or help, please PM me. Thanks! :kickass:

Fisheye converters will give you a large black frame and the visible part of your images will be circular. Personally I don't like the way that looks and would want my image to take up the full frame. I've owned the Nikon 10.5mm fisheye and the Canon 15mm fisheye and they are both excellent lenses.

This lens could be an option if you don't mind manual focus. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/Rokinon-FE8M-C-Fisheye-Canon-Black/dp/B002LTXQUE[/ame]
