forest metal? um sure! it will have a nature vibe, but it wont be lo-fi BM with acoustic parts. any BM riffs i write would go to kastigation and i dont own an acoustic guitar

How are you gonna have a band called Aspen with a logo like that and have it not be black OR folky?!

by being doomy and folky and noisy. a fun mix of esoteric, sunn, bathory, and agalloch. atleast thats whats coming out so far.

so yeah, there is definitely a folk thing, but its gonna be more doom than black metal.

oh you will, hopefully soon. i'm gonna record two or three on my keyboard for starters. but i will eventually record a bunch of stuff in the studio. some straight up doom, some atmospheric soundscape/single instrument solo.
