Haha, yeah Grant, it really looks like that! (well the waterfalls were long exposures to create that flowy/creamy effect, and didn't look exactly like that, but close enough).

Looks like a bit of the saturation was upped, and maybe some light HDR was done.

I really like that second to last shot. God damn. I wish I had shit to shoot like that. I should make my way to the southwest sometime.

Knew him on a forum that a few regs here (V5, velocibrad, mort etc) used to frequent, and then once I moved out to Illinois we went to shows and whatnot together. Last show we went to was Chicago Powerfest in like 2008, haha.

Shots 2, 3, 4 and 5 are all HDR (which is layering multiple exposures in one image to capture the dynamic range of light), and then yeah, some upping of saturation/vibrance, as the colors didn't quite pop in the capture since the sky was overcast, but it was really that green and (in the canyon/rock formations case) red-ish.

Anyways, thanks for the complements everyone. Definitely go there if you ever get the chance!

And Pess, you should go up to Yosemite! I might be heading up there during December. I'll probably also be going to the Death Valley National park sometime in October or November.
